This year’s theme for NAIDOC week was Get up, Stand up, Show up and the statewide march and NAIDOC ball was up north in Burnie.
Along with Aunties Wendall Pitchford, Cheryl Mundy and Ruth Langford Nunami, founder of Blak Led Tours Tasmania, was honoured to receive a Special Achievement award for her achievements with the business.
Tasmanian Aboriginal person of the year was awarded to Sinsa Mansell for her career or cultural leadership.
