Nunami was asked to give a welcome at the Tourism Industry Council Tamania (TICT) luncheon yesterday (8th of February 2022).
Dialogue is the Tasmanian tourism industry’s major annual business luncheon where a leading national figure in the Australian tourism and travel industry is invited to address Tasmanian tourism, business, community and government representatives.
This event was celebrating 10 years of Dialogue and MONA and the keynote speaker was the CEO of QANTAS Allan Joyce – It was a great celebration of the industry and 10 years of MONA.
As well as acknowledging our land, the muwinina people and their living place and stories now unheard and hidden and by the building Nunami was able to briefly highlight Aboriginal stories as the true stories of culture and history on these lands. It seems like everyone can see that now is a great time for palawa storytelling, with the broader community more open and excited to listen.
